Welcome to the Martin Halbert Wiki!
The Sojourner Novels take place in a distant future when Humanity has long since colonized the stars. The future history of these novels includes an extensive universe of world building details. This wiki is intended to provide an organized and growing corpus of these details for fans of the series. Rather than trying to create a short appendix for background details in the first book (as Frank Herbert did with Dune) or create a backlog of notes for decades (as Tolkien did with what eventually became the Silmarillion), this wiki is intended to be a 21st Century approach to dynamic world-building. The wiki entries on this site will continue to grow with the series over time, further building out the Sojourner universe conceptually. I hope that you will come to enjoy the rich background and textures of this universe as much as I have while writing the books in the series.
